Community Development Corp. Meeting Presentation
As part of County Executive Ed FitzGerald’s plan to promote collaboration between the local communities, the Department of Development with the assistance of Neighborhood Progress Inc. hosted a countywide Community Development Corporation (CDC) meeting at the Steven Minter Conference Center on October 28, 2011. The meeting included members of local Community Development Corporations (CDC), economic and community development professionals from the local suburbs and a variety of other economic development related organizations. The purpose of the meeting was to update the attendees on the County’s efforts to create a $100 Million Economic Development Fund, gain feedback from the CDC’s and suburbs on their needs, determine how the county can help them achieve their goals, and lastly, encourage collaboration between the local suburbs and local CDC’s.
