Robust Higher Education System


Cuyahoga County boasts 13 four-year colleges and 14 two-year schools, with 17,600 people graduating from college annually. Another 220 colleges and universities are located in a 150-mile radius.

Many of our colleges and universities are routinely ranked as some of the best in the country. For example, U.S. News and World Report ranked Case Western Reserve University 37th among national universities in 2016. CWRU is also ranked #5 in Healthcare Law, #8 in Biomedical, and #5 in Nurse Practitioner: Gerontological/Geriatric. Cleveland State University ranks at #2 in City Management and Urban Policy and #12 in Nonprofit Management.
