Who Owns and Operates the Airport?
Cuyahoga County has owned and operated the Airport since 1946. The Airport’s maintenance and operation are the responsibility of the Airport Manager and his staff.
Where is the Cuyahoga County Airport located?
The Cuyahoga County Airport is located within the communities of Richmond Heights, Highland Heights, and Willoughby Hills in both Cuyahoga and Lake Counties.
How do I get to the Airport?
The Airport is located within close proximity to Interstates 90, 271, and 480.
What are the boundaries of the Airport?
The Cuyahoga County Airport is located at 26300 Curtiss Wright Parkway between Bishop Road and Richmond Roads. For general reference purposes, the Airport is also located south of Chardon Road, and north of Highland Road.
Does the Airport have a wildlife management program?
Yes, the Cuyahoga County Airport is required by the FAA to maintain an updated wildlife management plan. We currently provide an informational brochure to our tenants and pilots outlining the appropriate measures for handling wildlife in and surrounding the Airport. Download a copy of the

What is the current level of activity?
Cuyahoga County Airport has averaged over 43,000 annual operations over the past three years. The Airport primarily serves corporate aviation and recreational general aviation activity. There are no scheduled airlines providing service at the Airport. There are also 325 corporate aircraft based at the Airport.
Does the Airport rent T-Hangar space to pilots?
Yes. The County has general aviation T-hangars located at the Airport. Monthly rental is $ 200. As of September 12, 2006 there are two (2) vacant hangars. Interested parties should call 216-289-4111 for current information on hangar availability.
Does the Airport have a ban or other restrictions on flights or aircraft noise from 11:00pm-7:00am?
The Airport is identified in the Federal Aviation Administration’s National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems (NPIAS) as a reliever Airport facility serving Northeast Ohio. The FAA requires Cuyahoga County Airport to remain open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The Airport, in an effort to be a good neighbor, have asked pilots to voluntarily limit the number of flights in and out of the airport between the hours of 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM hours.
How do I report noise complaints?
Individuals may report noise complaints by completing the online form and emailing it to the Airport. The form may also be downloaded, printed and mailed to the Airport. Individuals may also call the County Airport Operations Center at 216-289-4111. When calling after normal business hours, a message may be left on voice mail. When reporting a complaint, please provide us with your name, address or location of where you live, time and frequency of the aircraft; and whether the intrusive noise is caused by an aircraft in flight, or performing engine maintenance on the ground.. Airport staff will do our best to address your concern promptly. We ask that you do not report the same occurrence more than once to airport staff this prohibits us from answering all complaints in reasonable time.
What projects are currently underway?
The County is currently working with airport planning experts to develop a Master Plan Update and a Runway Safety Area (RSA) study; as well as maintenance and rehabilitation projects for the airfield and County-owned buildings.
