Program Requirements

Business must meet the following requirements: 

  • Successfully complete the technical assistance program at the SCORE offices.  
  • Submit a completed business plan which includes financial projections (for businesses less than 3 years old)
  • Existing businesses must submit 3 years of prior financial history. 
  • Demonstrate the inability to obtain financing from a traditional lending source by providing two Letters of Denial from a conventional lending institution.
  • Must be current on all local, state and federal debt.
  • Submit a credit release, authorizing Cuyahoga County to obtain personal and corporate credit reports.
  • Complete a loan application and submit supporting documentation. 
  • Businesses must demonstrate adequate collateral, credit and capacity to repay the loan.
